An Inspiration

Circa March 24, 1985

As an unique coincidence, I found this today after exactly 35 years to the date and thought I would share it with you. I do not know the genesis of this writing, possibly written to a friend-couple from college and most probably to Aparna-Arindam, but I am not sure.

I am really thankful to the Almighty
I came to know you two
Patiently listening to my smart alec pratter
Sometime very irritating too
Amongst the millions of humans
All different weaves of the loom
We met some years ago
That our friendship could bloom
Forget me though, but I will not
And expect that our ship will ride
The crests of the waves of time
Hope that throughout our years
Our meeting will take place time after time
